Yirrikpayi is a Tiwi term for salt water crocodile, the largest living reptile and fiercest predator in the world. The Yirrikipayi holds great cultural significance for the Tiwi people. Karina made repetition of the triangle which illustrates the pattern of the saltwater crocodile's skin and its awe-inspiring teeth.
