Yorta Yorta Woman Corina Muir is the Director and Founder of Amber Days, a stunning, innovative childrenswear label dedicated to ethical and sustainable fashion that celebrates Aboriginal art.

Amber Days emerged through Corina’s passion for sustainability and culture. Corina shared that she identified a “lack of sustainable and ethical fashion”, leading her to create a brand that promotes “sharing culture through wearable art” with a focus on “promoting Aboriginal women in business and art. And a space that is flexible for Aboriginal mothers.” For Corina, owning her own business as a First Nations Woman brings freedom and community. She is able to make her own business decisions and be selective about who she works with, all while supporting “authentic values and ethics through my life and work life. Self-determination. The connections and the community is a bonus, a network of Aboriginal Businesses who support each other to achieve similar goals.”

The Welcome to Country platform not only supports Corina financially, but offers a source of exposure and support. “Getting a large wholesale order in at the beginning was very good for the business and helps get us up…The marketing and exposure have been amazing.”
